A mini conference on “technology art” organized by Rhizomatiks. Artists, curators and researchers working on the frontline of hi-tech art in Japan, including Daito Manabe, Seiichi Saito, Minoru Hatanaka (ICC), Taeji Sawai (QOSMO), Kanta Horio, and Yasuaki Kakehi (SFC Associate Professor), will take part in a no-holds-barred panel discussion on the past, present and future of technology art. Will Japanese technology art turn out to be no more than a Cool Japan magical glittering playground? Panelists will extend their thoughts beyond their own disciplines to ponder the future.
