Since their formation, Zunmachango, great admirers of those “singing big boys and girls” who appear in Japan's most popular TV program for preschoolers, have brought smiles and encouragement to many, in all sorts of settings. Though they readily confess to having only amateur song and dance skills, the group's techniques cover everything from songwriting to costumes, sets, and animated music videos, and may be likened to the role-play we all enjoy as children, evolved to its highest form. Their cute, colorful, pop style of expression, accessible to children and tinged with nostalgia for adults, jumps easily between the domains of art, music and entertainment to produce “vignettes” bursting with creativity.
