Dancer and choreographer Yuya Yoshizaki created this dance work with
the theme of “hope,” in anticipation to the future that we have yet
to see beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
The theme is “Dansprint,” a coined word combining dance and
sprint.
The title Dansprint to you means that “I will come dancing and
sprinting to meet you.”
Please enjoy the beautiful music of Satoru Ono and liberating
movements of Mamiko Usuda and Yuya Yoshizaki.
Artist
Yuya Yoshizaki
Yuya Yoshizaki was born in Sumida-ku, Tokyo, and graduated from the
drama department of Meiji University’s school of literature. He
began dancing at the age of 19, and was a member of Noism, led by Jo
Kanamori, for 6 years beginning in 2012. Since 2019, he has been a
member of Co. yamada un, and has participated in works by Akira
Shirai, Tetsu Taoshita, Mari Netsuki, Kenta Kojiri, Fabien
Prioville, and Kaori Kagaya.
He has appeared in the main cast in performances at over 40 cities
domestic and international.
This marks his first directorial work.
