Moving toward the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, it is necessary to take steps related to making an inclusive society enabling all people - regardless of whether or not they have disabilities - to participate in the creation and enjoyment of culture and art. Because of this, key figures from Japan and abroad will be invited to attend a symposium on the theme of artistic activities by people with disabilities and activities related to people with disabilities realize a society that, along with the Olympic and Paralympic movement, respects diversity leading to further development of artistic culture by taking steps to make an inclusive society through culture and art. The keynote address will be given by Jenny Sealey, artistic director of the Graeae Theatre Company who served as the joint director of the Opening Ceremony of the London Paralympic Games.
