ARTISTS

Lionel Esteve

Born in France 1967, lives in Brussels, Belgium.Contemporary Artist. Lionel Estève has created the transparent geometric suspended mobiles to avoid to place them on a base. Motorized or not, they evoke of course the ones by Alexander Calder but also the kinetic art. Their light shapes animate the space with lines and colours composing an hypnotic environment where « the sculptures react to the people passing through ». The in situ installation, as a painting in volume, metamorphoses itself according to the 'genius loci', from one place to another, same elements but never the same. Through a wide variety of materials, the delicate and mysterious works by Lionel Estève draw poetic and imaginary landscapes surrounding us.
