Home-for-All Maru

Architect Ito Toyo and his disaster-relief group Kishin no Kai have been building “Home-for-All” throughout Tohoku as places for those displaced by the 2011 Earthquake to commune and raise consciousness toward revival. Here Inui Kumiko, Fujimoto Sou, Hirata Akihisa and Hatakeyama Naoya, who designed the Home-for-All built in Rikuzentakata in November 2012, recreate a traditional festival float ship from Rikuzentakata.
